在剛過去的科隆Gamescom期間，Xbox皇牌遊戲Gears系列新一輯《 Gears 5 》公布多個重量級消費者。包括首次展露戰役 (Campaign) 劇情及持久戰 (Horde) 的試玩。在持久戰內加入了新的遊戲功能及各個可用的特殊技能，如今集女主角Kait擁有隱身技能。
此外，官方亦同時公布兩項距界別合作。首先是玩家可在持久戰及對戰模式內使用《Halo: Reach》的斯巴達戰士Emile-A239及Kat-B320的塗裝；另外，亦同時公開跟AAPE合作的一系列限量版服飾及專為遊戲而設計的一系列AAPE x Gears 5塗裝包遊戲內容。
另外，《Age of Empire 2: Definitive Edition》亦有好消息公布，遊戲確定將在 11 月 15 日推出，遊戲時間軸橫跨人類 1,000 年的歷史，逾 200小時遊戲時間。同時，AOEII: DE將帶來全新內容「The Last Khans」，包括 3 場新戰役、4 種新文明，玩家可以在35 個不同時代文明中建立屬於自己的 4K帝國。
首款以《Gears》為開發藍本的手遊《Gears POP!》於上星期正式推出，由Funko POP!及Microsoft共同開發的《Gears POP!》，角色而Cute版設計為主，是一款快速的攻防策略塔防遊戲，玩家在遊戲中將可收集和升級具代表性的《Gears of War》英雄及反派打造出自己的Gears作戰隊伍，每個角色都有獨特的技能及屬性，遊戲同時提供對決的一對一及部落的合作線上作戰模式，勝出將會獲取寶箱及遊戲貨幣，遊戲同時推出Windows 10、Android、iOS版本色費讓玩家下載。
